Microsoft Flight Simulator can take you from the clear skies, snowy and even live weather forecast of your home airport to anywhere around the world with ultra-realistic CG Earth. The game developers made use of data taken from Bing Maps and Azure cloud platform to create in-game assets that are as close to the real deal as possible. Below are some screenshot I took flying over YYC, I then adjusted the live weather to snow. Let me know what you think of this.
That noted, if you’re someone who enjoys playing around on Google Maps and exploring areas using Street View, you’re probably someone who’s going to enjoy flying over specific locations in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The game is however demanding and may be suitable with NVIDIA`s 30 series line video cards on ultra settings.
